No Place Fit For A King

Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

Luke 2:2   And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

Luke 2:3   And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

Luke 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

Luke 2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

Luke 2:6   And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

Luke 2:7   And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Lord began to speak to me about the manger. The manger was an open box or trough for horses or cattle to eat from. The Bible tells us that Mary And Joseph went up Bethlehem to be taxed.

It was time for Mary to give birth. They sought for a place for them to stay. They stopped by an inn. But there was NO ROOM for them. Jesus was born, nothing was gonna  stop this birth. Nothing, no circumstance,  will stop that which needs to be birthed in you from coming forth.  The circumstances of no place to stay would not stop this baby, the King from coming forth. He had a purpose! He had a divine destiny! You have a purpose and a divine destiny.

This baby Jesus was wrapped in swaddling clothes. Swaddling is to keep the baby safe and warm. But notice, could this wrapping be as the present being wrapped. For He, Jesus Was Given By God. The Most precious gift that God could give was His Son Jesus.

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world, through him might be saved. There is that purpose and destiny again. Amen.

So Jesus was that ultimate gift sent from God to us, wrapped in swaddling clothes and placed in a manger.  His purpose was to stop the  plans of the enemy-satan.  Satans plans- to kill, still and destroy. John 10:10 But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.- 1 John 3:8. Jesus came to GIVE us life and to GIVE us life more abundantly. John 10:10.

The Bible says there was no room for them in the inn. Could there be a prophetic message in this. Now if you knew the Savior of the world, the King Of Kings, was coming, you would prepare Him the best place possible. Certainly not a stable where the animals were and made him sleep in a trough where the animals ate.  The Bible says that Jesus came to His own and His own received Him not. John 1:11. He that was rejected and despised came to a people that was rejected and despised, the Gentiles. The manger was no place fit for a King. It probably was dirty.  They must have had to clean it up before they could place this baby in that manger.  Just like the manger, Our hearts were not clean. Our hearts were dirty and unclean and un pure. But we have been cleaned. We have been washed! Now our hearts are fit for a King! The King Of Glory! If you will prepare Him room He will come in. Our hearts are that house, that place for the King. Sweep it and clean it up and get rid of everything that is unclean and not like God. The King Of Kings will come in. God’s word says, Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Make Room For Him! Invite Him In. Accept and Receive The Greatest Gift Of All! JESUS CHRIST! I am reminded of the line “Prepare Him Room” from that Christmas Song “Joy to The World”
